Hong Kong parishes generally have well-run Sunday schools, and many caring parents are quite supportive of bringing children back to the parish. Some Sunday schools have as many as one or two hundred students, and are as large as a small primary school. Unfortunately, many parish failed to continually support youth after Confirmation classes, and it is difficult to find post-Confirmation youth who actively participate in the parishes.

When they reach secondary school, college, or work, they may not be able to find a suitable small faith group. It is easy for them to fade out of the church at different stages in their adulthood. The reasons are as follows:

- Busy with studies or work
- Unable to find a suitable group within the church
- Unable to recognize the importance of faith

Thus the church loses a large number of post-Confirmation youth
